CoinRabbit Hits Six Years of Incident-Free Custody With ChangeNOW’s NOWCustody
Six years after launch, the crypto lending platform reports no security incidents and a steady ten-minute loan turnaround, built on NOWCustody, the custody product from ChangeNOW.

CoinRabbit, a crypto asset management platform, has passed six years with no security incident and no loss of client assets, while holding an average loan turnaround of about ten minutes. The platform ties that record to its custody foundation: NOWCustody, the custody product from ChangeNOW, which has run beneath CoinRabbit’s lending since the development in 2020 and scaled with it into institutional territory.
Why Custody Decides the Whole Model
CoinRabbit launched in 2020 with a team that combined risk management and cybersecurity experience with blockchain development, and the custody partner was the call it had to get right before anything else. In crypto lending, a user posts assets as collateral, and those assets stay with the custodian for as long as the loan is active. A breach or weak protection there reaches past any single transaction to client funds and the platform’s reputation.
The market of 2020 left little room for a slow build. At that time mature, usable custody solutions barely existed: most projects were still in development. So any delay meant ceding ground to whoever shipped first. A long build cycle and a custody stack written from scratch were both ruled out. The stack had to be mature and ready to integrate without heavy rework, and protecting user funds was the one place CoinRabbit would not compromise. Expertise was scarce as well: in a young market, the company had to define its own standards, so it wanted a partner that could share that expertise and take on requests with no template yet.
Heavy Mechanics Out, Control With the User
CoinRabbit set two hard conditions on any custody partner: it could not access sensitive client data, and it could not act on user wallets on its own. One number was also protected from any tradeoff: loan turnaround. Users come to CoinRabbit for fast liquidity, and the ten-minute average was part of the product, so security had to work without adding delay.
NOWCustody took on the heavy mechanics. Wallet operations, access, deposits, and collateral ran on ChangeNOW’s infrastructure, along the rights split CoinRabbit had set as a requirement: the provider carried the load, while control over data and operations stayed with CoinRabbit. That division let the platform keep custody strict and the borrowing path short at the same time.
A Partnership Measured in Response Time
Onboarding was short. A first call scoped the request, a dedicated partner channel on Telegram handled questions in real time, and after account registration the KYB check took a couple of days. Once custody was live, the NOWCustody team stayed reachable for documentation and follow-up, and it took on changes and additions when CoinRabbit asked for them. The relationship has since grown into a standing one, with a dedicated account manager and a direct line to support on CoinRabbit’s side.
Scaling to Institutional Standards
As CoinRabbit’s client base and asset volumes grew, the demands around accountability and protection rose with them, and the integration was tuned to each new need. When the platform moved toward high-net-worth and institutional clients, larger portfolios raised the bar on custody, and NOWCustody came back with proposals of its own rather than waiting for a brief. The integration stack took on more layers of protection and finer-grained access controls over time, and transaction speed held through the changes. The custody model itself did not change, and the storage infrastructure was not rewritten.
“Working with NOWCustody gives us confidence in both the security and operational side — especially important when working with client assets at scale. For us, one of the biggest indicators has simply been consistency: we’ve never had custody-related concerns from users, and in crypto, that matters.”

About CoinRabbit
CoinRabbit is a crypto asset management platform built around long-term capital preservation. Instant payments, lending, yield, trading, and its Private Program sit inside one platform, so clients manage liquidity across all of them in one place. Client assets stay under full user control: deposits and collateral are never re-used to back other loans, and CoinRabbit neither manages client funds nor gives investment advice. Its approach is closer to boutique finance than to a mass-market crypto service, with a premium standard for every user and tailored terms and direct communication for family offices, high-net-worth clients, and businesses with larger portfolios through the Private Program.
