Tron Has Moved $30 Trillion but TRX Price Hasn’t Budged in a Year
Tron has now settled more than $30 trillion in lifetime transfers, yet TRX trades at $0.34, almost exactly the $0.3383 it fetched a year ago.

Key Takeaways
- Tron’s stablecoin supply rose from $76.6B to $94.0B between Sept. 2025 and Sept. 2026.
- USDT on Tron totals $92.6B, or 50.4% of Tether’s $183.7B supply, per Defillama.
- TRX is flat year over the past year while bitcoin fell 22.8% over the same stretch.
The Milestone Justin Sun Keeps Posting
The network’s foundation, Tron DAO, announced yesterday that $30 trillion had been settled on Tron, adding that the chain had grown to more than 405 million accounts and 15 billion transactions in eight years.
Just hours after the announcement, onchain trackers noted that Tron was clearing over $30 billion in daily volume.
As expected, founder Justin Sun posted these numbers twice on X, first early Friday and again hours later, calling the developments:
A major milestone made possible by the builders, users, and community who keep the network moving.
And while nobody disputes the traffic metrics, the awkward part is the price chart sitting next to it, which has remained the same for twelve months running.
What Is Actually Moving on Tron?
Mostly dollars, given Tron hosts $92.6 billion of Tether’s USDT, according to Defillama’s stablecoin tracker. That is 50.4% of the token’s $183.7 billion supply and about $19 billion more than Ethereum’s share. Bitcoin.com News reported last month that Tron had crossed the line to settle over half of all circulating USDT, and the lead has held.
The growth over 12 months has been real, with total stablecoins on Tron climbing from $76.6 billion on Sept. 24, 2025, to $94.0 billion this week, a 22.6% gain. Over the same period, daily transactions went from 9.54 million to 11.35 million, and daily active accounts from 3.01 million to 4.30 million.
However, daily USDT transfers slipped from 2.43 million to 2.26 million year on year, even as the USDT float grew by billions.
So Why Is TRX Flat?
Because the $30 trillion counts dollars changing hands, not demand for TRX itself. A USDT transfer on Tron needs TRX-linked resources to pay for the transaction, but the value moving is a stablecoin pegged at $1.
The result shows up on TRX’s chart, which shows the token currently trading at $0.34, up just 0.1% from a year ago and barely above the $0.3360 it traded about 30 days ago.

That said, a flat year is not the worst result in this market because over the past year, many other prominent assets have dipped substantially. For instance, bitcoin’s price currently sits around $84,400, down about 22.8% over the same 12 months. Measured against BTC, holding TRX was the better trade, even though its own price chart barely moved.
The network is also working on bigger-picture upgrades, including a post-quantum security plan that Sun unveiled this year. The open question for TRX holders now is whether that infrastructure story ever reaches (and potentially spurs) the token’s price. So far, $17.4 billion of new stablecoins on Tron have produced record usage and a solid round-trip chart.
